Medicover Hospitals has opened a new 550-bed multispecialty hospital in the Financial District area of Hyderabad, marking a significant expansion of its healthcare infrastructure in the region. The new facility is designed to provide advanced medical services and improve access to specialised treatment for residents in the city and surrounding areas.
The hospital is a 25-storey medical tower spread across nearly 500,000 square feet, making it one of the largest and tallest hospital structures in the country. It houses 550 beds, including a large number of intensive care beds dedicated to critical care and emergency treatment. The facility also includes 18 advanced operating theatres, a modern cath lab for cardiac procedures, and cutting-edge diagnostic systems such as MRI and 640-slice CT imaging technology.
The new hospital offers over 30 medical specialties, covering areas such as cardiology, neurology, oncology, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, transplant services, and women and child care. More than 100 expert doctors and medical professionals are expected to provide multidisciplinary care under one roof.
According to the hospital management, the facility has been designed with modern infrastructure, advanced medical technology, and integrated patient-care systems to improve treatment outcomes and patient experience. The centre also features digital critical-care systems, robotic surgery capabilities, and high-precision surgical equipment to support complex procedures.
The new hospital aims to serve the rapidly growing IT and residential corridors around the Financial District, including areas such as Gachibowli, Nanakramguda, and Kokapet. With the increasing population and demand for advanced healthcare services in these areas, the facility is expected to play an important role in strengthening tertiary healthcare access in the region.
